Scholarship Program Manager
Purpose
The scholarship program chair is responsible for planning and administering the RBI Scholarship program annually.
Responsibilities
Program Management & Delivery
Creates annual timeline/plan for the scholarship program
Participates in setting the scholarship program budget and ensures spending is in alignment with the budget
Partners with marketing committee for all needed collateral, marketing and communication of the program
Receives scholarship applications
Coordinates scholarship committee to review applications and make awards
Communicates awards to recipients and applicants
Assesses the efficacy of the program and recommends changes for future award cycles
Performs other duties as assigned
Skills & Experience
Required:
Able to manage and attend to details
Critical thinker and problem solver who demonstrates decision-making and time-management skills
Basic project management skills including the ability to plan, execute, track, and report on work in progress
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Able to work independently with minimal oversight and as part of a team
Able to deal tactfully with school partners, program participants, and the general public
Possesses basic computer skills
Preferred:
Experience administering a scholarship fund
Experience working with Asana or similar project management software
Experience working within G-Suite
Expectations
Commit to a minimum of 2 years of service
Be knowledgeable about the organization, the services it provides, and the community in which it operates
Fulfill the responsibilities of the position, which likely will require a time commitment of 1-2 hours/week depending on the week; expect a larger commitment during the scholarship award cycle
Attendendance and support of the organization’s events is encouraged
Report all time volunteered to the organization for reporting purposes
